Introduction to the categories of fields
In Azavista, fields are data points of all sorts and they are used to store information. They are divided into 4 categories: Contact fields, Organization fields, Event fields, Participant fields. You can create any field type and as many as you need for your events.
Participant fields are found at Event level only, more information below.
- Contact fields can only be used for your CRM Contacts (and event Participants)
- Organization fields can only be used for Organizations
- Event fields can only be used for Events (i.e. In the overview of Events at Global level, or in the Event details tab of the Event dashboard module at Event level.)
- Participant fields can only be found inside the event where they were created (they will not appear in the CRM as contact fields, or in other events)
*This means that you will not find Contact fields in the detailed tab of an Event (where Event fields are found).
On Contact & Participant fields
Contact fields
- Contact fields are available across all events as Participant fields
- When a participant updates a participant field in an event, the latest value of this field will also be updated to the contact version of this participant.
- This way, the information about your contacts is always up to date.
- *Newly created participants are automatically created as contacts in the CRM.
- Contact fields can be added to forms on web pages, allowing your audience to add information themselves (unless a read-only form section is used).
Participant fields
- Participant fields regroup all the available Contact fields (created at Global level, in the Global fields manager)
- Participant fields can also be added to forms on web pages, allowing your audience to add information themselves (unless fields a read-only section is used).
- This information will be saved for both the Participant & Contact version of this person?
- Participant fields that you create are available for this event only.
