The Invitation Decline block allows participants to decline the invitation they received to register for the event. When a participant clicks the “Decline” button in the invitation email, they are redirected to the event website and asked to confirm their decision.
Optionally, you can present a form after the decline is confirmed. For example, to collect the reason for declining. If the participant submits this form, they are placed in a separate stage, allowing you to track and differentiate between those who declined with or without a reason.
You can also allow participants to access the registration form even after declining the invitation, in case they change their mind.
⚙️ Settings
-
Stage name: Define the stage label for participants who decline the invitation (commonly “Declined”).
-
Form (optional): Select a form participants can access after confirming the decline (e.g. to provide a reason).
-
Thank you page: Choose the page participants are redirected to after submitting the form.
-
Thank you email: Select the confirmation email sent upon form submission.
-
Declined with reason stage name: Define a custom stage label (commonly “Declined with reason”) to track participants who submitted the optional form.
- Continue registration (optional): Select the Registration block to allow participants to access the registration form, even after having confirmed declining the invitation (should they change their mind).
🔗 How it Works
Connect the Invitation Decline block to the connection dot located under any Registration block. When a participant clicks “Decline” in the invitation email and confirms the action on the website:
-
They are placed in the Declined stage
-
If a form is available and submitted, they are instead moved to the Declined with reason stage
-
They are redirected to the configured thank you page
-
They receive the thank you email
- If selected, they can loop back to the registration block to re-register (should they change their mind)
