Validating My Events Section on the Event Website

The My Events component allows participants to view, manage, and interact with events they have access to on the event website. Validating My Events ensures that event listings, actions, and participant-related interactions function correctly. This article explains how participants can validate the My Events component and its available interactions on the event website.

Step-by-Step Approach

1. Access the Event Website

  • Open the event website using the link provided by the event organiser.
  • Ensure the webpage loads successfully.

2. Locate the My Events Component

  • Navigate to the webpage where the My Events component is displayed.
  • The My Events component shows a list of available or assigned events.

3. Validate My Events Display

  • Confirm that the list of events is visible.
  • Verify that event details such as event name, date, or status are displayed correctly.

4. Validate “Show in Time”

  • Click Show in Time within the My Events component.
  • Verify that events are filtered or displayed based on the selected time criteria.

5. Download the Event List

  • Click the Download List option.
  • Confirm that the participant list is exported in CSV format.
  • Verify that the CSV file is successfully downloaded to your local system and contains accurate data.

6. Invite a Participant to the Event

  • Locate the option to invite a participant within the My Events component.
  • Initiate the participant invitation process.

7. Add the Participant to the Event

  • Click the Add to Event button.
  • Ensure the action redirects you to the participant registration process.

8. Complete the Registration Form

  • Fill in the required fields in the registration form for the invited participant.
  • Submit the form and verify that the participant is successfully registered for the event.

9. Validate Overall Behaviour
