New events can be added inside the "Events" module (at Global level) -> Events list. Inside the list, click on the big Plus button to add an event and a popup will appear in which you can choose to create an event from scratch or from an event template.
Select "Create from scratch" and start to fill in the basic information for your event: The name, start and end dates, and the timezone. Clicking on save will then redirect you to the Event level of this event, where you can add widgets to the event dashboard, add teams to the event, manage event settings.
