1. Import file
You can upload a participant list by clicking the + button in the Participants module, then select "Upload a file from desktop".
Select your file and click on Save and proceed after the file has been downloaded, the list can then be found in the Participants list.
Note that the row count available at the top gives you the number of participants from the list you are uploading.
2. Fields mapping
You can then match the columns from the spreadsheet to the fields saved in Azavista. Once you have done this for all columns, click on Save and proceed.
If you have uploaded the wrong file, you can click on the Reset button to start the process again with a different uploaded file.
3. Mapping field values
For certain fields, you will also have to compare values from the uploaded spreadsheet with values from your fields in Azavista.
For example, if the participants from your list have different nationalities, you will have to match those with the existing Azavista values. Make sure to click on Save and proceed when you are done.
4. Reviewing import errors
Hopefully, you have imported your participants without any errors being shown. In case errors did occur, those would be displayed here so you can act accordingly.
5. Review duplicates
In case you are trying to add participants who were already added to the system - those duplicates will be shown in this step. You can click on each one to solve the issue and select which version of the participant to save.
Once resolved, the status of the duplicates will appear in the table as well.
6. Match organization
In this step, you can choose to match the participants with already imported organizations.
7. Preview and finish phase
The last step is to click on the Upload button. You will now be able to see the participants you have uploaded in the Participants module of your event.
