The decline workflow is used when a participant declines a registration invitation sent by the planner. This workflow behaves like the cancellation workflow, therefore it uses the same template workflow.
To use this workflow you will need to create a decline form in the website builder, a decline thank you page and a decline email, confirming that the participant has declined. Additionally, you can add a decline reason form, where the participant states why they declined the invitation.
To create the decline workflow go to the Workflows module in your event, click on the +Add Workflow automation and select a cancellation workflow naming it "Decline workflow".
Link the decline form you created, the decline thank you page and email, as well as the registration workflow. Next, name the stage in which the participant will be when hitting the decline button in the form (in this example "Declined" as well as the stage they will end if they fill out a decline reason form. Save the changes.
Finally, you can add the Decline workflow to the public registration workflow/invite only workflow as shown below, don't forget to save the changes.
In order for the participant to be able to decline a registration invitation, go to the invitation email you created in the Email marketing module. Drag and drop the Decline button from the Buttons section on the right and publish the email.
You can also allow declined participants to re-register again even if they have cancelled.
This is done by selecting the registration workflow the the continue registration field.
