In Azavista, you can have a unique reference number assigned to your contacts when a contact process is triggered. This process may be triggered by the creation or update of a contact. The reference number is a useful way of identifying contacts later on.
In order to set this up, you first need to have a global contact field to store the reference number. To create a global contact field, simply navigate to the Global Fields Manager module and create a contact field with the type of Text called "Contact reference number" or a similar name that's easy for you to identify later. For more information on how to create custom text fields, see this article.
Once you have your field, navigate to the Integrations module and the Global Processes sub-module. With the Contact Processes tab selected, click the Add button. Provide a recognizable name in the following popup and click Save.
Now click on the newly created process in the processes list to configure it. Turn on the edit mode and click the green add button to add an action block. Select the "Set reference number" action and click Add.
Now expand the action block and select the reference number field you created earlier from the Field dropdown menu. Click Save Changes and return to the processes list by clicking the Back to list button.
To determine what triggers this global contact process to run, click the action button for this process and click "Object changed trigger". Select your desired triggers from the Trigger dropdown menu in the popup window and click Create to finalize configuration. For example, selecting the Create trigger will mean that this process will run for each newly created contact, assigning them unique reference numbers as soon as they're added to the CRM.
