Creating a survey in Azavista is in essence very similar to creating a registration form (1). You can manually allow participants to access this survey (2) or automate the process as part of your participant journey (3).
Step 1. Creating a survey:
- Create a form with custom fields
- Create a confirmation page
- Optional: Create a confirmation email
Option A. Manually allow participants to access the survey:
- Create a registration workflow
- When participants enter this workflow automation, they will be able to fill out the survey form.
- Attach the relevant form / confirmation page / confirmation email to the workflow automation
- Create a stage action workflow
- This allows us to manually push participants to the registration workflow, in which they are able to fill out the survey.
- Select a stage name, the email that will be sent to the participants to notify them they are now able to fill out the survey, and select the Registration workflow that contains the survey.
- Granting access to the survey
- To allow your participant to submit the survey, select the Stage from the Stage action workflow, in the Participants module. They will also receive a notification email.
Option B. Automate access to the survey:
- Create a registration workflow
- When participants enter this workflow automation, they will be able to fill out the survey form.
- Attach the relevant form / confirmation page / confirmation email to the workflow automation
- Create a stage action workflow
- This allows us to manually push participants to the registration workflow, in which they are able to fill out the survey.
- Select a stage name, the email that will be sent to the participants to notify them they are now able to fill out the survey, and select the Registration workflow that contains the survey.
- Inside the workflow automation that precedes the survey workflow automation (e.g. Arrival, when people have checked in at the event), add an engagement sequence with a "Wait" or "Wait until condition" (yellow icon) and a "Change stage" action (purple icon)
- Add a "Wait" condition if you wish to grant access to the survey after a specific amount of time has passed
- Add a "Wait until" condition if you wish to grant access to the survey before/after a specific date-time field (e.g. 1 day after the date-time field "event end date")
