Adding and Configuring a Global Event Process
Overview
The Global Event Process allows administrators to automate actions, queries, and delays that are triggered by changes to an event. Admins can add process flows, configure action, query, and wait blocks, define trigger conditions, and manage process-level settings. This helps ensure consistent automation across all events in the platform.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Add a Global Event Process
- On the General Dashboard, go to Global Event Processes.
- Click Add Event Process to create a new process.
2. Enable Edit Mode
- Toggle Edit mode to begin configuring the process flow.
3. Add and Configure an Action Block
- Click the green + icon to add an Action Block.
- Select Entity — choose the object the action applies to (e.g., Event, Registration, Participant).
- Select Action Type — choose the system action to execute.
- Select Trigger Value — define the condition that triggers the action.
- To remove an action, click the Trash icon.
4. Add and Configure a Query Block
- Click the blue + icon to add a Query Block.
- Select Entity — choose the object you want to query.
- Select Query Type — select the type of query to be executed.
- Select Trigger Value — define the query execution condition.
- To remove a query, click the Trash icon.
5. Add and Configure a Wait Block
- Click the orange + icon to add a Wait Block.
- Select Entity — choose the applicable object.
- Select Key–Value Pair — define the wait condition or delay rule.
- To remove a wait block, click Trash Wait Block.
6. Execute Single Row Actions – Process Management
View details
- Click View Details to open the full Process Flow Overview.
- Change the process flow to Edit mode.
- Save the process flow update.
7. Execute Single Row Actions – Configuration Options
Change name
- Select Change Name to update the process title.
Set Object Change Trigger
- Choose Set Object Change Trigger to define when the process runs.
- Select one of the following trigger values:
- Add Teams
- Remove Teams
- Replace Teams
- Settings
- Update
Set Status Changed Trigger
- Select Set Status Changed Trigger to trigger automation based on event status changes.
- Available trigger values include:
- Published
- No Registration
- Draft
- Offline
- Cancelled
- Approved
Delete Process
- Select Delete to permanently remove the event process.
8. Start, Stop and Interrupt Trigger
- Click on any event process.
- To stop trigger, click Stop.
- To start trigger, click Start.
- To interrupt trigger, use the Interrupt option.
Notes
- Ensure Edit mode is enabled before making updates.
- Always save changes to activate the updated process flow.
- Use drag-and-drop tools to visually arrange the sequence of blocks.
