Add Fields to a Form on Web Builder
Overview
The Web Builder allows organizers to add existing fields to forms using a drag-and-drop interface. Fields can be placed only on supported form layouts, ensuring consistent structure, validation, and data collection across web pages. This article explains how to add fields to a form in the Web Builder.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Add Fields to a Form
- On the Event Dashboard, go to the Content module.
- Select the Pages submenu.
- Open an existing page or form in edit mode.
- Select a supported form layout.
2. Drag and Drop Supported Fields
- Drag and drop fields only onto the following form types:
- Single Column Form
- Two Column Form
- Single Column Read-Only Form
- Two Column Read-Only Form
- See a validation message when attempting to drop a field outside a supported form type.
- See immediate feedback if the field cannot be placed on the selected form.
Result
The selected field is successfully added to the supported form layout, and validation rules are applied automatically to ensure proper form configuration.
