Adding and Configuring Title Line on a Web Page
Overview
Title Lines are used to display headings or section titles on a web page, helping organizers structure content and guide users through the page. Using the Web Builder, you can add, configure, format, reposition, or remove Title Lines, as well as control their visibility using dependencies and section version types. This article explains how to configure and manage a Title Line on a web page.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the Web Builder
- On the Event Dashboard, go to the Content module.
- Select the Pages submenu.
- Open the required page in edit mode.
2. Drag and Drop a Title Line
- From the Components panel, locate the Title Line component.
- Drag and drop the Title Line onto the desired section of the web page.
- The Title Line is added and visible in the layout.
3. Enter or Edit ID
- Click on the Title Line to open its Settings panel.
- Locate the ID field.
- Enter a new ID or edit the existing value as required.
4. Enter or Edit Title
- In the Title Line Settings, locate the Title field.
- Enter a title or edit the existing text.
5. Select Dependency from the Dependency Select Field
- In the Title Line Settings panel, locate the Dependency select field.
- Select an existing dependency from the list.
- The Title Line will display or hide based on the configured dependency conditions.
6. Select Section Version Type from the Section Version Type Select Field
- In the Title Line Settings, locate the Section Version Type select field.
- Choose the appropriate section version type.
- The Title Line follows the visibility rules defined for the selected version type.
7. Edit the Title Line Using Styling and Formatting Options
- Select the Title Line directly on the Web Builder canvas.
- Use the available styling and formatting options such as font style, size, alignment, or emphasis.
- Changes are applied instantly in the preview.
8. Select Merge Tags from the Merge Tags Select Field
- Click on the Title Line.
- Click on the Merge Tags select field.
- Choose a merge tag from the list.
- The selected merge tag is inserted into the Title Line content dynamically.
9. Manage Title Line
- Reposition the Title Line using drag-and-drop within the page layout.
- Remove the Title Line if it is no longer required.
10. Save and Apply Changes
- Publish the page to apply the configured Title Line settings.
- Preview the page to validate Title Line placement and behaviour.
