Adding and Configuring Video Component on a Webpage
Overview
The Video component allows users to embed and display video content on event webpages. It can be used to share welcome messages, instructions, or promotional and informational videos. This article explains how users can add and configure the Video component on a webpage using the Web Builder.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the Web Builder
- On the Event dashboard, navigate to the Content module.
- Select the Pages submenu.
- Open the required webpage in edit mode.
2. Add the Video Component
- From the component panel, locate Video.
- Drag and drop the Video component onto the desired section of the webpage.
3. Enter or Edit the Component ID
- Select the Video component.
- In the component settings panel, enter or edit the ID field.
- The ID can be used for navigation, styling, or tracking purposes.
4. Enter or Edit the Title
- In the Title field, enter or update the title displayed with the video.
5. Select a Dependency
- From the Dependency select field, choose a dependency if required.
- The Video component visibility updates based on the selected dependency conditions.
6. Select Section Version Type
- From the Section Version Type select field, choose the appropriate version.
- This controls which version of the Video component is displayed on the webpage.
7. Enter or Edit HTML Code
- Enter or update the HTML embed code for the video in the provided field.
- This allows embedding videos from supported platforms or custom video players.
8. Configure Submit Button Behaviour
- Select or unselect Disable submit button until the end of the video.
- When enabled, users must watch the video until completion before they can submit the form.
9. Manage the Video Component
- Reposition the Video component using drag-and-drop within the page layout.
- Remove the Video component if it is no longer required.
10. Save and Apply Changes
- Publish the webpage to apply the configured Video settings.
- Preview the webpage to ensure the video displays and plays correctly.
