Adding and Configuring Shopping Cart on a Webpage
Overview
The Shopping Cart section is a key component of the checkout experience on your webpage. It allows users to review selected items, view pricing details, apply discounts, and proceed with available payment methods. Using the Web Builder, administrators can add and configure the Shopping Cart section to control its visibility, payment dependencies, discount behavior, and placement within the page layout.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the Web Builder
- From the Event dashboard, navigate to the Content module.
- Select the Pages submenu.
- Open the required webpage in edit mode.
2. Drag and Drop Shopping Cart
- From the section library, locate the Shopping Cart component.
- Drag and drop the Shopping Cart section onto the desired location on the webpage.
3. Enter or Edit ID
- In the section settings panel, enter a unique ID for the Shopping Cart.
- Edit the ID if needed to meet internal naming or tracking requirements.
4. Enter or Edit Title
- Enter a Title that will be displayed above the Shopping Cart on the webpage.
- Update the title as required to reflect the content or purpose of the Shopping Cart.
5. Select Dependency from Dependency Select Field
- Choose a dependency from the Dependency select field.
- This controls when the Shopping Cart section is displayed based on defined conditions.
6. Select Section Version Type from Section Version Type Select Field
- Select the appropriate Section Version Type to define how the Shopping Cart behaves across different versions of the webpage.
7. Select or Unselect Display Discount Section
- Enable the Display Discount option to allow users to view and apply discount codes in the Shopping Cart.
- Disable this option if discounts should not be shown.
8. Select Invoice Payment Dependency
- Select an Invoice Payment Dependency to control when invoice-based payment options are available in the Shopping Cart.
9. Select Online Payment Dependency
- Select an Online Payment Dependency to determine when online payment methods are displayed to users.
10. Manage the Shopping Cart Section
- Reposition the Shopping Cart section using drag-and-drop within the page layout.
- Remove the Shopping Cart section if it is no longer required.
11. Save and Apply Changes
- Save and publish the webpage to apply the Shopping Cart configuration.
- Preview the webpage to confirm that the Shopping Cart displays and functions correctly.
