Accessing and Configuring Contact/Organisation/Event/Member Field Mapping for Any CRM Integration
Overview
The field mapping feature allows administrators to connect and synchronize data between Azavista and an integrated CRM system. Using Contact, Organisation, Event, and Member Mapping, admins can define how specific fields in Azavista correspond to fields in the target CRM. This ensures accurate data exchange and consistency across platforms.
With this configuration, you can control which fields are synced, the direction of synchronization, and manage existing mappings as needed.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the Contact/Organisation/Event/Member Mapping
- From the General Dashboard, navigate to Integrations from the main menu.
- Select the required CRM integration.
- Click the required Mapping or Field Mapping tab.
- Contact Mapping
- Organisation Mapping
- Event Mapping
- Member Mapping
You will now see the list of existing field mappings, if any.
2. Add a Field Mapping
- Click on the Add button.
- A new mapping form or row will appear.
- Select the Azavista field and the corresponding CRM field.
- Configure the sync direction.
- Save the mapping.
The new mapping will be added to the listing.
3. Search and Select Azavista Field to Target CRM Field
- In the mapping form, click on the Azavista Field search box.
- Start typing the field name.
- Select the required field from the dropdown list.
- Click on the Target CRM Field search box.
- Search and select the corresponding field from the CRM system.
This ensures that data is transferred correctly between both platforms.
4. Select Sync Direction
Sync direction determines how data flows between Azavista and the CRM.
- Locate the Sync Direction option in the mapping row.
- Select one of the following options:
- Inbound (Azavista → CRM): Data syncs from Azavista to CRM.
- Outbound (CRM → Azavista): Data syncs from CRM to Azavista.
- Bidirectional (Two-Way Sync): Data syncs in both directions (if supported).
- Confirm your selection before saving.
Choosing the correct sync direction helps prevent data conflicts and duplication.
5. Remove the Mapping from Listing
- Navigate to the Mapping section.
- Locate the mapping you want to remove.
- Go to More Options (⋮) and click Delete.
The selected mapping will be permanently removed and will no longer be used for synchronization.
Best Practices
- Review mappings regularly to ensure data accuracy.
- Avoid creating duplicate mappings for the same fields.
- Test sync behaviour after adding or modifying mappings.
- Ensure both Azavista and CRM fields have compatible data types.
