Configuring Workflow for an Event
Overview
The Event Workflow feature allows users to visually design, manage, and publish workflows for an event. Users can access the workflow canvas, perform various canvas actions, manage workflow blocks, and preview changes before publishing.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the Event Workflows Menu
- Open the Workflow menu in your Event App configuration dashboard.
- Select the Event Workflows menu item to open the workflows management section.
2. View and Manage the Workflow Canvas
- Once the Event Workflows menu is open, the Workflow Canvas is displayed.
- Use canvas actions to customize your view:
- Change Zoom – Adjust the zoom level of the canvas for better visibility.
- Full Screen – Expand the canvas to full screen for easier editing.
- Show Only Flow Name – Simplify the canvas view to show only the flow names of each block.
3. Search and Select Workflow Blocks
- Use the right-hand panel to search for specific workflow blocks by name or type.
- Select a block to add it to the canvas or edit its configuration.
- Drag and drop blocks within the canvas to organize the workflow sequence.
4. Publish Workflow Changes
- After making updates to the workflow, click the Publish button to apply changes to the live event.
- Publishing ensures that participants will see the updated workflow actions during the event.
5. Revert Published Changes
- If you need to undo recent changes, click the Revert to Publish button.
- This restores the workflow to the last published state, discarding unsaved edits.
6. Preview the Website
- Click the Preview Website button to see how the workflow appears on the event website.
- This allows you to verify that all workflow steps and blocks function as intended before publishing.
By following these steps, you can efficiently configure, manage, and publish event workflows, ensuring a smooth and structured participant experience.
