Adding and Configuring Global Report – User Activity
Overview
The Global Report - User Activity allows users to track and analyse activities performed by users within a defined time range. This report helps monitor system usage, audit user actions, and gain visibility into platform interactions. It also supports scheduling, version control, and team-based access management for efficient reporting.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Add Report Type: User Activity
- On the General Dashboard, navigate to Reports.
- Click on the + Report button.
- In the Type dropdown, select User Activity.
- Enter or edit the Name of the report.
- Select one or more Teams to assign access and ownership.
2. Configure Report Details
The Details tab allows you to define the basic information of the report.
- Name: Enter or update the report name for easy identification.
- Description: Enter or edit a description to explain the purpose of the report.
3. Access the Settings Tab
The Settings tab is used to define the scope and structure of the report.
- From Date and Time: Select the start of the reporting period.
- To Date and Time: Select the end of the reporting period.
- Report Columns: Choose the columns to define how the data will be displayed.
- Schedule the Report: Configure scheduling if the report needs to run automatically at specific intervals.
- SuperAdmin Access: Enable this option to allow elevated access control.
4. Manage the Version Tab
The Version tab allows you to manage different versions of the report.
- Click on + Version to create a new version.
Execute Row Actions (Version Management):
- View Report Online: Go to More Options (⋮) and select this option to open the report in the browser.
- Export Report Version: Go to More Options (⋮) and download the report for offline use.
- Change Name: Go to More Options (⋮) and rename the report version for better identification.
- Delete: Go to More Options (⋮) and remove the selected version if it is no longer required.
5. Manage the Teams Tab
The Teams tab helps manage access to the report.
- Click on Add Team to assign a team.
Execute Row Action:
- Unassign: Go to More Options (⋮) and remove a team from the report when access is no longer needed.
