Accessing and Managing UTM Parameters for Marketing Email Campaigns
Overview
The UTM Parameters module in Azavista enables users to define and manage tracking parameters used in marketing email campaigns. UTM parameters (such as Source, Medium, and Campaign) are essential for analysing campaign performance in analytics tools. By properly configuring these parameters, users can gain insights into where traffic is coming from, how users interact with campaigns, and which campaigns deliver the best results.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access UTM Parameters
- From the main dashboard, navigate to the Email Marketing menu.
- Select UTM Parameters from the submenu.
You will be redirected to the UTM Parameters listing page, where all existing parameters are displayed in a centralized view.
2. View Source UTM Parameters Listing
- On the listing page, you can review all configured Source UTM Parameters.
- The listing includes the following column:
- Name – Displays the name of the UTM parameter for easy identification.
This view helps you quickly scan, manage, and organize your tracking parameters.
3. View Medium UTM Parameters Listing
- Click on the Medium tab.
- On the listing page, you can review all configured Medium UTM Parameters.
- The listing includes the following column:
- Name – Displays the name of the UTM parameter for easy identification.

4. View Campaign UTM Parameters Listing
- Click on the Campaign tab.
- On the listing page, you can review all configured Campaign UTM Parameters.

5. Add a UTM Parameter: Source
- On the Source tab, click on the Create Source button.
- Enter the required details.
- Click on the Save button.
Adding structured Source values (e.g., newsletter, website, social media) ensures consistent tracking across all email campaigns.
6. Add a UTM Parameter: Medium
- On the Medium tab, click on the Create Medium button.
- Enter the required details.
- Click on the Save button.

7. Add a UTM Parameter: Campaign
- On the Campaign tab, click on the Create Campaign button.
- Enter the required details.
- Click on the Save button.

Key Notes
- UTM Parameters are critical for tracking and measuring marketing campaign performance.
- Use clear and consistent naming conventions to ensure accurate reporting in analytics tools.
- Archived parameters cannot be used in new campaigns but remain available for historical data tracking.
