Accessing and Configuring the Global Event App
Overview
The Global Event App enables organisers to create and manage reusable event app templates that can be assigned across multiple events. From this section, you can create global event apps, map events and language settings, associate them with specific events and teams, and access app URLs or QR codes for easy sharing.
This functionality helps maintain consistent branding, configuration, and user experience across all your organisation’s events.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Create a Global Event App
- Log in to the Azavista app.
- Navigate to the Genral Dashboard, Navigate to the Event App at global level.
- Click the + Event App button at the top right of the screen.
- A new Global Event App configuration form opens.
- Enter the required details such as Name, Slug, and applicable settings.
2. Enter or Edit the Event App Name and Slug
- In the General Settings section, enter the Name for your Global Event App.
- The Slug will auto-generate based on the name but can be edited manually if needed.
- This slug forms part of the Event App’s unique URL.
3. Search and Select the Theme
- In the Theme dropdown field, click the dropdown to view available themes.
- Use the search bar to find a specific theme by name.
- Select the desired Event App Theme to apply consistent styling across assigned events.
4. Select or Remove Applicable Languages
- Go to the Languages section.
- Click Select Languages to open the language dropdown.
- Choose one or more available languages for the Event App.
- To remove a language, click the delete icon next to the language name.
- The selected languages define the multilingual options available in the Event App interface.
5. Access the Auto-generated Event App URL
- Once the app is saved, the system automatically generates a Global Event App URL.
- The URL is displayed in the Event App URL field.
- Click Copy URL to copy it to your clipboard for sharing.
6. Access the QR Code of the Global Event App
- In the same summary section, locate the QR Code icon beside the Event App URL.
- Click the icon to open or download the QR code.
- You can scan this QR code from a mobile device to directly open the Global Event App preview.
7. Access the Events and Teams List
- Two tabs are available: Events and Teams.
- Each tab displays the list of all available events or teams.
8. Assign or Unassign Events and Teams to the Global Event App
- You can search for and assign an Event and a Team via the Add Event/Team button.
- The Global Event App is now linked and accessible from all assigned events and teams.
- Click the More Options (⋮) icon and select Unassign to remove the link.
9. Remove a Global Event App
- In the Global Event App detail view, click the Trash icon at the top of the screen.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted — the Global Event App will be permanently removed.
10. Select the Global Event App from an Assigned Event
- Go to the Event Dashboard of an event.
- Open the Event App module.
- The assigned Global Event App will automatically appear at the bottom of the Event App screen in the select Event app dropdown.
11. Access the Auto-generated Event App URL from the Assigned Event
- Within the Event App section of the assigned event, locate the Event App URL field.
- The same global app URL will appear — identical to the one generated from the Global Event App configuration.
- Click Open in New Tab or Copy Link to preview the app in your browser.
