Validating Image+Text Component on the Event App

The Image + Text component in the Event App allows users to view an image alongside descriptive text, with optional redirection and formatting. Validating this component ensures that both the image and text are displayed correctly, links function as expected, and formatting is applied properly.

Both Participants and Moderators can verify the visibility, functionality, and accuracy of the Image + Text component within the Event App.

Step-by-Step Approach

1. Validate the Image + Text Component

• Log in to the Event App as a Participant.
• Navigate to the page where the Image + Text component is added.
• Verify that the image is displayed correctly.
• Check that the associated text content is visible and properly formatted.
• Hover over or inspect the image to confirm the Alt Text is applied.
• Click on the image (if a link is configured) and verify that:
  • The redirection URL works correctly.
  • The link opens in the selected target (same tab or new tab).
• Ensure that formatting such as alignment, spacing, and layout appears as expected.
