Accessing and Managing the Sessions Module As a Participant
Overview
The Sessions Module in the Event App allows participants to view and manage event sessions. The Sessions Module in the Event App allows participants to view and manage event sessions. Participants can browse all sessions, register for sessions (if enabled), and access detailed session information, bookmark sessions, filter and search for sessions, view them in multiple formats, and register or unregister for sessions directly within the app providing a smooth and organised event experience.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Open the Event App and Access Sessions
- Open the Event App on your device or browser.
- See the Sessions in the Event App menu.
- Click the Sessions menu item to proceed to the session list.
2. Access the Sessions Screen
- Once the Sessions menu is selected, the Sessions screen displays all sessions available to you.
- Each session shows basic details such as Session Name, Date, Time, Speaker, and Room.
3. See Only My Registered Sessions (When Enabled)
- If the organiser has enabled the Show Only Registered Sessions option, only the sessions you are registered for will be displayed.
- Unregistered sessions will be hidden from this view.
4. See All Sessions Associated with the Event
- If the Show Only Registered Sessions option is not enabled, all sessions associated with the event will be displayed.
- You can browse session details even for sessions you are not registered for.
5. Register for Sessions in the Event App (When Enabled)
- If in-app registration is enabled, sessions you are not registered for will show a Register button.
- Click Register to enroll in a session.
- Registered sessions will appear in your session list and, if the Show Only Registered Sessions option is enabled, will update your view accordingly.
6. Access the Session Detail View
- Click on any session from the list to open its Session Detail View.
- The detail view may include agenda, speakers, session description, attachments, and other relevant information.
7. Click on Bookmark Icon
- Open the Sessions Module in the Event App.
- Click the bookmark icon next to any session to mark it as a favorite.
- Bookmarked sessions are easily accessible later and can be filtered in the session list.
8. Open Filter Panel to Refine Sessions by Liked and Registered
- Click the Filter icon or button in the Sessions Module.
- Choose Liked to display only bookmarked sessions.
- Choose Registered to display only sessions for which you are registered.
- Apply multiple filters simultaneously to refine your session list.
9. View Sessions in Day-by-Day, List, or Calendar Format
- Use the View options at the top of the Sessions Module.
- Select Day-by-Day to see sessions scheduled for each day.
- Select List view to see a simple vertical listing of all sessions.
- Select Calendar view to see sessions mapped on a calendar layout.
10. Search for Sessions
- Use the Search bar at the top of the Sessions Module.
- Enter session names, speakers, or keywords to find relevant sessions quickly.
- The session list updates in real time as you type.
11. Click Register/Unregister for Any Session(s)
- If in-app registration is enabled, a Register button appears next to sessions you are not registered for.
- Click Register to enroll in the session.
- For sessions you are already registered for, click Unregister to remove your registration.
- Registered sessions are reflected in the session list and can be filtered using the Registered filter.
Tip: Regularly check the Sessions screen for updates, as new sessions may be added or existing session details updated during the event.
