This article explains how participants can access, view, and interact with the News Feed module within the Event App. The News Feed allows participants to stay informed about event updates, share content, and engage through comments once they are registered for the event.

Step-by-Step Approach

1. Open the Event App and Access News Feed

  • Open the Event App on your device or browser.
  • See the News Feed in the Event App menu.
  • Click the News Feed menu item to proceed to the feed list.

2. Access the News Feed Screen

  • Upon selecting the News Feed from the menu, the News Feed screen will open.
  • This section displays a chronological list of posts and updates shared by participants or event moderators.

3. Add and Submit a News Feed for Approval

  • Tap the Add (+) button to create a new News Feed post.
  • Enter the required information such as Title and Description.
  • Click Submit to send the post for moderator approval (if moderation is enabled).
  • Once approved, the post becomes visible to all participants within the app.

4. Enter or Edit Title and Description

  • When creating or editing a post, participants can define a Title and Description to summarize their content.
  • Before submitting, the information can be modified as needed.
  • Edits are restricted once the post is approved and published.

5. View Approved News Feeds on the Screen

  • After moderation, approved News Feeds will appear in the participant’s main feed list.
  • Participants can scroll through the feed to review posts shared by other participants or event organizers.

6. Access the Detailed View of an Approved News Feed

  • Tap on any approved News Feed post to view detailed content.
  • The detailed view displays the full post content along with associated comments and interactions.

7. Enter and Edit Comments on Approved News Feeds

  • Within the detailed view, tap the Comment field to share feedback or responses.
  • Participants can edit their own comments before or after posting.

8. View Comments Added by Other Participants or Moderators

  • All visible comments related to the News Feed post will appear in the Comments section.
  • Participants can read remarks shared by other participants or moderators, promoting interactive discussions and engagement.
