Accessing and Managing the Lead Scan Module As a Participant
Overview
The Lead Scan Module in the Event App allows participants to capture and manage leads efficiently during events. Participants can access the module from the app menu, scan QR codes, update participant details, select statuses, and export scanned leads.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. See the Lead Scan in the Event App Menu
- Open the Event App on your device.
- Locate the Lead Scan module in the Event App menu.
2. Access the Lead Scan Screen
- Tap the Lead Scan module to open the main screen.
3. Access the Camera Scan Window via Scan QR Code
- Click the Scan QR Code button to open the camera scan window.
- Align the participant’s QR code within the frame to capture lead information.
4. Enter or Edit Description on Participant Detail
Pre-requisite: Lead scanning should be enabled on the Planner App.
- After scanning a lead, tap the participant’s detail popup.
- Enter or edit the available editable fields or relevant information.
- Click on the Submit button to save the changes.
5. Export Scanned Leads
- On the Lead Scan screen, tap Download.
- In online mode, participants can directly save and select the supported format (e.g., CSV, Excel) to download scanned leads for further processing or reporting.
- In offline mode, participants will have two export options:
- Export from Server
- Export from Local Cache
Outcome: Based on the participant's requirement, the relevant export option can be selected to download scanned leads.
6. Scan Participants in Offline Mode
- Use the scanner to capture participant QR codes as usual.
- If you have an active internet connection, leads will be recorded instantly.
- If connectivity is lost, the app will automatically switch to offline mode.
7. Continue Scanning in Offline Mode
- Continue scanning participant QR codes without interruption.
- All scanned data will be saved locally on your device.
- You can access and review captured leads within the app.
8. Sync Data When Back Online
- Once your device reconnects to the internet, the app will automatically sync all offline data.
- Lead scan participants can also manually click on the Sync button to initiate the sync process.
- Ensure the app remains open or is refreshed to complete the sync process.
Outcome: The updated participant details will be saved and reflected in the scanned lead data.
Tip: Ensure all scanned lead details are accurate and up to date before exporting. Regularly export scanned leads to maintain a backup and facilitate post-event follow-up.
