Accessing and Managing Chat Module As a Participant
Overview
The Chat Module in the Event App allows participants to connect and communicate directly with other participants in the event. Participants can access the chat from the app menu, search for conversations or participants, start 1:1 chats, and verify messages sent.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. See the Chat in the Event App Menu
- Open the Event App on your device.
- Locate the Chat module in the event app menu.
2. Access the Chat Screen
- Tap the Chat module to open the chat screen.
- The screen displays your active chats and available participant list.
3. Search for Chat Conversations, Participants, or Messages
- Use the Search bar at the top of the chat screen.
- Enter a keyword, participant name, or message text to locate conversations quickly.
- Results will update in real time as you type.
4. Access the Registered Participant List via the “+” Icon
- Tap the “+” icon on the chat screen.
- This opens the list of all registered participants for the event.
- Browse or search to find a participant you want to connect with.
5. Start a 1:1 Chat with Any Participant
- From the participant list, tap a participant’s name.
- A new chat window opens, allowing you to send direct messages.
- Type your message in the text box and tap Send.
6. Validate the Message Sent to the Recipient Participant
- Once a message is sent, it appears in the chat thread.
- A sent icon or timestamp confirms the message delivery.
- Wait for a reply indicator or new message bubble to continue the conversation.
Tip:Use the Search feature to quickly reconnect with participants you’ve previously chatted with.
