The Web Builder provides multiple tools and controls that help users design, edit, and manage web pages efficiently. Users can customize layouts, preview content, manage languages, create fields and dependencies, and control publishing settings. Performing these actions correctly ensures accurate content presentation and smooth website management.

This article explains how users can perform various common actions in the Web Builder.

Step-by-Step Approach

1. Access the Web Builder

  • From the Event Dashboard, navigate to the Content module.
  • Select the Pages submenu.
  • Open the required web page in edit mode.

2. Select the Device from the Device Select Field

  • Locate the Device selector in the Web Builder toolbar.
  • Choose the required device view (Desktop, Tablet, or Mobile).
  • The page preview updates based on the selected device.

3. Undo Unsaved Changes

  • Click the Undo icon in the toolbar.
  • Revert the most recent unsaved action.
  • Repeat to undo multiple recent changes.

4. Redo Unsaved Changes

  • Click the Redo icon in the toolbar.
  • Restore previously undone changes.
  • Continue clicking to redo multiple actions.

5. Preview the Webpage Before Publishing

  • Click the Preview option in the toolbar.
  • View the webpage in preview mode.
  • Review layout, content, and functionality before publishing.

6. Switch Between Visual Editor and HTML Code Editor

  • Locate the Editor Mode toggle.
  • Select Visual Editor to edit using drag-and-drop tools.
  • Select HTML Editor to edit the page source code.
  • Switch between modes as required.

7. Open the Web Builder in Full Screen

  • Click the Full Screen icon in the toolbar.
  • Expand the Web Builder to occupy the entire screen.
  • Exit full screen mode when finished.

8. Select the Language from the Language Select Field

  • Locate the Language selector in the toolbar.
  • Choose the required language from the dropdown.
  • The editor loads content for the selected language.

9. Publish the Webpage for the Selected Language

  • Verify content for the selected language.
  • Click the Publish button.
  • Confirm publishing for the active language version.

10. Revert Web Builder Changes to the Published Version

  • Click the Revert or Restore option.
  • Confirm reverting changes.
  • The page returns to the last published state.

11. Add a New Field

  • Click Add New Field or Create Field.

12. Add a New Dependency

  • Click Add Dependency.
  • Define dependency rules and conditions.
  • Save the dependency configuration.

13. Select an Existing Page from the Page Select Field

  • Locate the Page selector dropdown.
  • Open the dropdown list.
  • Select the required page.
  • The selected page loads in edit mode.
