Adding and Configuring Video Component for the Event App
Overview
The Video Component in the Event App Web Builder enables you to seamlessly embed and display video content from multiple providers such as HTML5, YouTube, and Vimeo. This component is ideal for showcasing promotional videos, session highlights, tutorials, or announcements, helping enhance user engagement and overall event experience.
With flexible configuration options, you can control how the video behaves and appears on your event page, including autoplay, looping, controls, and provider-specific settings like branding and related content.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Add the Video Component
- On the Event dashboard, navigate to the Content module..
- Select Pages submenu.
- Open the required event app page in edit mode.
- Drag and drop the Video component onto the desired section of your webpage.
2. Select the Video Provider
- Click on the component to open its settings panel.

Choose a Provider from the dropdown:
- HTML5 – Upload or link your own hosted video
- YouTube / YouTube (No Cookie) – Embed YouTube videos
- Vimeo – Embed Vimeo-hosted videos
3. Configure Video Settings for HTML5 Provider

Enter or edit:
- Source – Add the direct video file URL.
- Poster – Add a preview image displayed before playback begins.

Enable or disable the following options:
- AutoPlay – Automatically start video playback
- Loop – Replay the video continuously
- Controls – Show or hide video player controls
4. Configure Video Settings for YouTube / YouTube (No Cookie)

Enter or edit:
- Video ID – Provide the unique YouTube video identifier.

Configure the following options:
- Related – Show or hide related videos after playback
- AutoPlay – Automatically play the video
- Loop – Replay the video continuously
- Controls – Display or hide player controls
- Modest – Reduce YouTube branding for a cleaner look
5. Configure Video Settings for Vimeo Provider

Enter or edit:
- Video ID – Provide the Vimeo video identifier.
- Color – Customize the player color to match your theme.

Enable or disable:
- AutoPlay
- Loop
6. Reposition the Video Component
- Drag and move the component to reposition it within the page layout.
- Ensure optimal placement for visibility and user engagement.
7. Remove the Video Component
- Select the Video Component.
- Click on the Delete/Remove option.
- Confirm the action to remove it from the page.
