Adding and Configuring Image+Text Component for the Event App
Overview
The Image + Text component in the Event App allows you to display an image alongside descriptive text. This component helps create visually engaging content while supporting customization such as links, alt text, and formatted text with merge tags.
This guide explains how to add, configure, and manage the Image + Text component within the Event App Web Builder.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Add the Image + Text Component
- Navigate to the Event Web Builder.
- Locate the Image + Text component from the components panel.
- Drag and drop the component onto the desired section of the page.
2. Configure Basic Settings
- ID: Enter or edit a unique identifier for the component.
- Title: Add or update the title for the component.
3. Configure Image Properties
- Alt Text: Enter or edit alt text for the image to improve accessibility and SEO.
- Enter a URL for the image redirection (supports links with or without
https). - Select a Target option:
- Same tab
- New tab
4. Upload or Select an Image
- Upload an image by dragging and dropping it from your local system.
- Alternatively, click Select Image to choose an image from the media library.
5. Edit Text Content
- Edit the text directly within the Web Builder.
- Use available options to:
- Insert merge tags
- Apply styling (bold, italic, etc.)
- Format content (alignment, lists, spacing, etc.)
6. Reposition the Component
- Drag the Image + Text component to a different location within the page layout.
- Ensure proper placement based on the overall design.
7. Remove the Component
- Select the Image + Text component.
- Click on the Delete or Remove option.
- Confirm the action to remove it from the page.
