This guide explains how to set up a registration process with multiple form submissions, ideal for events requiring participants to provide information in distinct stages. You will be configuring a journey where participants complete one form at a time, with the flexibility to move between steps either automatically or manually:
- Automated Progression: Participants automatically proceed to the next step once they complete the current form.
- Manual Progression: Event planners decide when participants are invited to move forward.
By the end of this guide, you’ll have a structured, step-by-step registration flow, tailored to your event’s requirements and participant management preferences.
You can quickly get started with this event setup by creating the event type "Multi-forms event" in the library of events.
Step-by-Step Configuration
Step 1: Add the content connected to the each step
i. Create a form "Registration form 1" (to be added in the workflow block: Registration)
ii. Create a web page "Registration 1 submitted", which will be displayed to the participant once they have submitted the form (to be added in the workflow block: Registration)
iii. Create an email "Registration 1 submitted", which will be sent to the participant once they have submitted the form (to be added in the workflow block: Registration)
Repeat this process for each submission step needed.
Step 2: Update the participant journey in the Workflows module
i. Automated progression: Update the participant journey as seen in the example below. The connection arrow automatically move participants to the next form submission step, where they have access to the connected form.
ii. Manual progression: Update the participant journey as seen in the example below. Not adding the connection arrow means that participants will stay in this step, until a backend user send them the connect invitation email.
