Integration Whitelabel URL – Marketing for an Event
Overview
The Whitelabel URL – Marketing integration allows users to apply a previously configured whitelabel (CNAME) URL to a specific event for marketing purposes. By selecting a marketing URL at the event level, users can ensure branded links are used consistently while automatically appending UTM parameters for accurate campaign tracking. The system also validates inputs to prevent misconfiguration and displays clear error messages when invalid URLs are entered.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Select the Whitelabel / CNAME URL as a Marketing URL
- Go to the Event Dashboard.
- Navigate to the Event Settings section.
- Locate the Marketing URL configuration.
- From the list of available Whitelabel / CNAME URLs, select the required URL and enter the desired path.
- Save the event settings.
2. View UTM Parameters in the Marketing URL
- After selecting the Whitelabel / CNAME URL, review the generated marketing URL.
- Confirm that the selected UTM Source, UTM Campaign, and UTM Medium appear correctly in the URL as query parameters.
3. View Error Message for an Invalid Root Path Redirect URL
- In the event settings, enter a value in the Root Path Redirect URL field.
- If the entered value is invalid, a clear and descriptive error message is displayed.
- Update the URL based on the error message guidance and save again.
4. View Error Message for an Invalid Marketing URL
- Enter or modify the Marketing URL in the event settings.
- If the URL format is invalid or does not meet requirements, a validation error message is shown.
- Correct the URL and save the changes.
