Configuring External CRM – Microsoft Dynamics
Overview
The External CRM – Microsoft Dynamics integration allows administrators to connect the platform with Microsoft Dynamics CRM to synchronize contacts, organizations, events, and members. Admins can configure authentication details, select supported versions and events, manage throttling, define data sync directions, map fields across modules, monitor logs, and control access through team-based permissions.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Create a New External CRM – Microsoft Dynamics Integration
- On the General Dashboard, go to Integrations.
- Click + Integration.
- Select External CRM – Microsoft Dynamics from the integration list.
- Enter a meaningful name for the integration.
- Save the integration.
2. Select Version and Events
- Open the External CRM – Microsoft Dynamics integration.
- Select the required Version from the dropdown.
- Select one or more Events from the Events selection field.
- Save your changes.
3. Enter or Edit Integration Configuration Details
- Open the integration.

Enter or edit the following fields as required:
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Organisation URL
- Contact Module Name
- Event Module Name
- Member Module Name
- Organisation Module Name
- Throttling Time
- Save your changes.
4. Enter or Edit Client Secret
- Open the integration.
- Locate the Client Secret field.
- Enter or update the value.
- Save your changes.
5. Enter or Edit Organisation URL
- Open the integration.
- Locate the Organisation URL field.
- Enter or update the URL.
- Save your changes.
6. Enter or Edit Module Names
- Open the integration.

Enter or edit the following fields as required:
- Contact Module Name
- Event Module Name
- Member Module Name
- Organisation Module Name
- Save your changes.
7. Enter or Edit Throttling Time
- Open the integration.
- Locate the Throttling Time field.
- Enter or update the value.
- Save your changes.
8. Select or Unselect the Throttling Checkbox
- Open the integration.
- Locate the Throttling checkbox.
- Select the checkbox to enable throttling or unselect to disable it.
- Save your changes.
9. Select Event Template
- Click on Search Event Template.
- Select one or more Events
- Click Select to confirm.
10. Activate or Deactivate the Integration
- Open the integration.

Use the Activate / Deactivate toggle.
- Activated: Synchronization with Microsoft Dynamics is enabled.
- Deactivated: No data is synchronized.
- Confirm the status change.
11. Remove the Integration
- Open the integration.
- Click Delete or Remove Integration.
- Confirm the deletion.
12. Access Contact Mapping
- Open the integration.
- Navigate to the Contact Mapping section.
- Select the Sync Direction.
- Click Add Field Mapping to map fields.
- Click Remove Field Mapping to delete an existing mapping.
13. Access Organisation Mapping
- Open the integration.
- Navigate to the Organisation Mapping section.
- Select the Sync Direction.
- Add field mappings as required.
- Remove field mappings when no longer needed.
14. Access Event Mapping
- Open the integration.
- Navigate to the Event Mapping section.
- Select the Sync Direction.
- Add new field mappings.
- Remove existing field mappings.
15. Access Member Mapping
- Open the integration.
- Navigate to the Member Mapping section.
- Select the Sync Direction.
- Add field mappings.
- Remove field mappings.
16. Access and Clear Logs
- Open the integration.
- Navigate to the Logs tab to view sync activity and errors.
- Click Clear Logs to remove existing log entries.
11. Access the Inspect Listing
- From the integration menu, select Inspect.
- This view provides detailed information about individual sync actions and payloads.
17. Access the Teams Listing
- Open the integration.
- Navigate to the Teams tab.
18. Select Teams from the Select Teams Pop-Up
- Click Select Teams.
- Browse or search for teams in the pop-up.
- Select one or more teams.
- Click Select to confirm.
- The selected teams appear in the Teams listing.
19. Remove Teams from the Listing
- In the Teams listing, locate the team to remove.
- Click the More Options (⋮) icon next to the team name.
- Select Remove teams.
