Configuring Dependency Conditions for Process Triggers
Overview
Dependency conditions for Process Triggers allow you to control when a trigger is executed based on advanced, rule-based logic. By using Advanced Query conditions, you can define precise criteria across multiple objects—such as Event, Participant, Product, and Activities—and combine them using AND and OR operators. This article explains how to configure, manage, and apply dependency conditions for Process Triggers.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access Process Triggers
- On the Event Dashboard, go to the Workflows module.
- Select the Processes submenu.
- Open an existing trigger or create a new one.
- Toggle on Edit mode.
- Click the blue + icon.
- Select Advanced Query from the Entity dropdown.
- In the Process Trigger configuration, click Update Condition.
2. Managing dependency conditions
- In the Manage Conditions pop-up, you can:
- Create a new dependency condition
- Update an existing dependency condition
- Remove an existing dependency condition
3. Configure conditions using available entities
-
Event Entity
- Select Event fields, field criteria, and field values
-
Participant Entity
- Select Participant fields, field criteria, and field values
-
Event Settings Entity
- Select Event Settings fields, field criteria, and field values
-
Product Entity
- Select Product fields, field criteria, and field values
-
Workflow Entity
- Select Workflow fields, field criteria, and field values
-
Activity Entity
- Select Activities fields, field criteria, and field values
4.Combine conditions using logical operators
Use logical operators such as AND and OR to combine multiple conditions and define complex execution rules for workflow sequences.
5. Save and apply the dependency conditions
- Save the configured conditions.
