Adding and Configuring a Text Field to a Badge
Overview
The Badge Editor within Onsite Check-In allows you to customise badge layouts by adding text fields. Text fields can be used to display static text, labels, or custom information on the badge. You can position and format these fields to align with your event branding and layout requirements.
Accessing the Badge Editor
- Navigate to the Event Dashboard.
- Go to Onsite Check-In.
- Select the Badges sub-module.
- Choose the badge you want to edit to open it in the Badge Editor.
Adding a Text Field
- In the Badge Editor, locate the components panel.
- Drag and drop the Text Field component onto the badge canvas.
- Position the text field anywhere on the canvas to control placement and alignment.
Entering or Editing Text
- Click inside the text field to enter custom text.
- Modify the text at any time to update badge content.
- Use the preview option to confirm the text appears correctly before printing.
Applying Formatting Options
After selecting the text field, formatting options become available. The following properties can be configured:
- Font
- Size
- Alignment
- Position
- Width
- Number of lines
- Text angle
Adjust these settings to:
- Improve readability
- Maintain alignment with other badge elements
- Ensure consistency with event branding
All formatting changes are reflected in real time within the Badge Editor preview.
Saving and Testing
- Click Save after configuring the text field and formatting.
- Perform a test print to verify that the text appears correctly on the physical badge.
