Add a Background Image in the Badge Editor
Overview
The Badge Editor allows users to upload and customize background images for both the front and back sides of a badge. You can upload separate images, use drag-and-drop placement, crop PDF designs using the Badge Cropper, mirror or flip backgrounds, and manage blackmark adjustments for accurate printing. These options help ensure the badge layout aligns perfectly with printing requirements and event branding.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Upload an Image for the Front Side of the Badge
-
Users can upload a background image specifically for the front side. After
selecting
the Front canvas, choose an image like (JPG, JPEG and PNG)
from
your device to apply it as the background.
2. Drag and Drop an Image on the Front Section
-
Users can drag an image files like (JPG, JPEG and PNG) from their local
system and drop it directly onto the Front side of the editor.
The image automatically appears as the background for that side.
3. Drag and Drop an Image on the Back Section
-
Users can drag and drop an image like (JPG, JPEG and PNG) onto the
Back side of the badge. The image is applied immediately
as
the back-side background.
4. Upload an Image for Both Front and Back Sides of the Badge
-
Users can upload two separate images—one for the Front and
one
for the Back—allowing full customization for each side of
the
badge.
5. Upload a Full Image for Badge Background
-
Users can upload a single full-size background image that contains both front
and back designs. The system processes and assigns this image to both sides.
6. View the Image Automatically Split into Front and Back
When a full design image is uploaded:
- The system cuts the image horizontally into two equal parts.
- The top half becomes the Front background.
- The bottom half is used as the Back background and automatically rotated 180° for correct print orientation.
7. Use the Badge Cropper to Extract Background Images from a PDF
Users can upload a design PDF into the Badge Cropper tool, which extracts two badge background images (front and back). These images can then be applied to the badge layout.
8. Copy and Paste the Badge Cropper Image into the Background
Users can copy an extracted image directly from the cropper and paste it into the badge editor as the front or back background.
9. Enable Flip 180° for the Back Side
Users can activate the Flip 180° option to rotate the back-side background. This ensures correct orientation when adding text or content on the back.
10. Enable or Disable “Mirror Both Sides”
Users can turn on the Mirror Both Sides option to use one design for both sides of the badge.
- When enabled, the same background appears on front and back.
- When disabled, separate backgrounds can be used.
