Adding and Configuring an Activity Field On a Badge
Overview
The Activity component in the Badge Editor allows users to display activity-related information on badges using dynamic data. Users can add an activity component to a badge, choose between individual activities or activity groups, configure merge fields and date-time display, and apply formatting options to control how activity details appear on the badge.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the Badge Editor
- Navigate to the Event Dashboard.
- Go to Onsite Check-In.
- Click on the Badges sub-module.
- Select a badge from the list to open it in the Badge Editor.
2. Add an Activity Component to the Badge
- Drag and drop an activity field onto the badge design from the available components panel.
- Position the activity component on the badge canvas to control placement and alignment.
3. Select the Field Type
- Select the Field Type as Activity from the Field Type select field.
- Select the Field Type as Activity Group from the Field Type select field.
4. Select Activity or Activity Group
- Search for and select an Activity from the Activity select field when the Field Type is set to Activity.
- Search for and select an Activity Group from the Activity Group select field when the Field Type is set to Activity Group.
5. Select a Merge Field
- Search for and select a Merge Field from the Merge Field select field to determine which activity data is displayed on the badge.
6. Configure Formatting and Behaviour
- Select a formatting option from the Format field to control how activity information is displayed.
- Select or unselect the Activate Combined Field option to enable or disable combining multiple activity fields.
- Select a Filler Field from the Filler Field select field to display fallback content when activity data is unavailable.
7. Configure Text, Date and Time Display
- Determine how date and time values are represented for activities displayed on the badge.
- Select a Date-Time format from the Date Time Format select field.
- See selected labels displayed in uppercase when the format is set to Upper case.
- See selected labels displayed in lowercase when the format is set to Lower case.
- See selected labels displayed in title case when the format is set to Title case.
8. Apply Text Formatting Options

Apply different text formatting options to the activity component, including:
- Font
- Size
- Alignment
- Position
- Width
- Number of lines
- Text angle
- Adjust formatting settings to ensure readability and alignment with badge design requirements.
- Preview formatting changes in real time within the Badge Editor.
9. Save and Verify
- Save the badge once the activity component and formatting are configured.
- Run a preview or test print to verify that activity information appears correctly on the badge.
- Update settings if layout, formatting, or data display needs adjustment.
