Overview
The Payment – Invoice Integration allows users to enable invoice-based payments for event registrations. Once the integration is configured and activated, it can be selected as a payment option for specific events. Users can run test registrations to verify the invoice payment flow and confirm that paid registrations and post-payment cancellations behave as expected before opening the event to participants.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Select Invoice Integration as the Payment Option for an Event
- Open the event where invoice payments are required.
- Navigate to Tickets and Products.
- Open Payment Settings.
- Locate the list of available Payment Integrations.
- Select Invoice Integration from the available options.
- Save the event settings to apply the payment method.
Invoice payment will now be available during the event registration process.
2. Run a Test Registration Including Payment
- Go to the Participant App.
- Open the event’s Registration Form or use an internal test participant.
- Complete the registration details until you reach the Payment step.
- Select a ticket or item that requires payment.
- Choose Invoice Integration as the payment method.
- Complete the registration.
Confirm that:
- The registration is completed successfully.
- The registration status updates to Paid, Invoiced, or Completed (depending on configuration).
- An invoice record is created and visible in the event’s Orders or Transactions section.
3. Run a Test Registration Including Cancellation After Payment
- Complete a test registration using Invoice Integration.
- Open the event’s Registrations or Participants list.
- Select the test participant.
- Trigger Cancel Registration.
Validate that:
- The registration status changes to Cancelled.
- The invoice status updates according to the event’s cancellation policy (for example, voided or marked as cancelled).
- The transaction or invoice record reflects the cancellation accurately.
