Integrating Payment- Moneris for an Event

Overview

The Payment – Moneris integration allows users to enable secure online payments for event registrations. Once the integration is configured and activated, it can be selected as a payment option for specific events. Users can run test registrations to verify the payment flow and confirm that paid registrations and post-payment cancellations behave as expected before opening the event to participants.

Step-by-Step Approach

1. Select Moneris as the Payment Option for an Event

1. Open the event where online payments are required.
2. Navigate to Tickets and Products.
3. Open Payment Settings.
4. Locate the list of available Payment Integrations.
5. Select Moneris from the available options.
6. Save the event settings to apply the payment method.

Moneris will now be available as a payment option during the event registration process.

2. Run a Test Registration Including Payment

• Go to the Participant App.
• Open the event’s Registration Form or use an internal test participant.
• Complete the registration steps until reaching the Payment screen.
• Select a ticket or item that requires payment.
• Choose Moneris as the payment method.
• Complete the payment using Moneris test or sandbox credentials.

Confirm that:

• You are redirected to the Moneris payment page.
• The test payment completes successfully.
• The registration status updates to Paid or Registered.
• The transaction appears in the event’s Orders or Transactions section.

3. Run a Test Registration Including Cancellation After Payment

• Complete a test registration using Moneris.
• Open the event’s Registrations or Participants list.
• Select the test participant.
• Trigger Cancel Registration.

Validate that:

• The registration status changes to Cancelled.
• A refund or reversal is initiated according to the event’s cancellation policy (if applicable).
• The transaction or refund entry reflects the cancellation accurately.
