Tracking Revere Event Transactions
Overview
Administrators can track Revere event transactions by accessing the Revere development account and reviewing payment activity generated through test registrations. This includes validating successful payments as well as confirming that cancellations and refunds are correctly recorded. Tracking these transactions ensures that the Revere integration is functioning as expected before enabling it for live events.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the Revere Development Account
- Log in to the Revere Development (Test) Account using your admin credentials.
- Navigate to the Dashboard or Transactions section.
- Ensure the environment is set to Test or Development.
- Locate the event or merchant account associated with your test event.
2. Track the Payment on a Test Registration
- Complete a test registration for the event that includes a paid ticket or product.
- Return to the Revere Development Account.
- Open the Transactions or Payments overview.
-
Search for the transaction using:
- Event name
- Transaction reference
- Participant or order identifier
-
Verify that:
- The payment status is marked as Successful or Completed.
- The transaction amount matches the ticket price.
- The timestamp aligns with the test registration.
3. Track the Payment and Cancellation on a Test Registration
- Cancel the previously paid test registration from the Participant App or admin interface.
- Confirm the cancellation based on the event’s cancellation policy.
- Return to the Revere Development Account.
- Locate the original payment transaction.
Validate that:
- A corresponding refund or cancellation entry is created.
- The transaction status updates to Refunded, Cancelled, or similar.
- The refunded amount (if applicable) matches the event’s refund rules.
- The transaction history clearly links the refund to the original payment.
Once these steps are completed successfully, the administrator can be confident that Revere transactions—including payments and cancellations—are being tracked correctly for the event.
