Tracking Payone Event Transactions
Overview
Admins can track Payone transactions at the event level to ensure that payments and cancellations from test registrations are processed and recorded correctly. This includes accessing the Payone (Revere) development account, verifying successful payment transactions, and confirming that cancellations or refunds are reflected accurately. These validation steps help ensure reliable financial tracking before an event goes live.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the Payone Development Account
- Log in to the Payone Development Account using the credentials configured in your Payone integration.
- Navigate to the Transactions or Payments Overview section.
- Review the list of recent transactions created from test registrations.
- Confirm that the environment is set to Development or Test and matches your event configuration.
2. Track the Payment on a Test Registration
- Complete a test registration for the event using the Payone payment option.
- In the event admin interface, navigate to Registrations, Orders, or Transactions.
- Locate the test participant and note the transaction or order reference ID.
- In the Payone Revere Development Account, search for the transaction using the reference ID, amount, or transaction date.
Verify that:
- The transaction status is Authorized, Paid, or Successful.
- The payment amount and currency match the test registration.
- The transaction is linked to the correct event or order reference.
3. Track the Payment and Cancellation on a Test Registration
- Complete a test registration with a successful Payone payment.
- Cancel the registration using the event’s cancellation workflow.
- In the event admin interface:
- Confirm the registration status updates to Cancelled.
- Check for a refund or reversal entry based on the event’s cancellation policy.
- In the Payone Revere Development Account:
- Open the original payment transaction.
- Review any linked refund, void, or reversal transactions.
Confirm that:
- The cancellation action is reflected in the transaction history.
- The refunded or reversed amount aligns with the event’s cancellation rules.
- The payment and cancellation are clearly linked for auditing and reconciliation.
