Configuring Activity Settings
Overview
You can configure activity-level settings to control how participants
register,
how capacity is managed, and whether approvals or dependencies apply.
From
the Activity Settings area, you can enable or disable registration rules,
set capacity limits, configure waiting lists, define dependencies, and
apply
display and email options for each activity.
This article explains how to access Activity Settings and configure the
available
options.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the Activity Settings
- On the Event Dashboard, go to the Activity Management module.
- Click the Activities submenu.
- Click on any Activity.
- Click on the Activity Settings tab.
2. Configure General Activity Settings
Activity Generic Setting
- Select or unselect the Activity Generic Setting checkbox as required.
- Select dependencies from the dropdown field on the screen.
- You can also add a new dependency:
- Click Create Dependency.
- Select the activity or condition you want to link as a dependency.
Display Type
- Select Website as the display type if you want this activity displayed on the event website.
- Select Engagement App as the display type if you want this activity displayed in the app.
- Selecting both Website and Engagement App will display the activity in both channels.
3. Configure Registration & Approval Rules
Registration Required for this activity
- Select this option if participants must register for the activity.
- Unselect it if registration is optional or not required.
- Select this option if registrations must be manually approved.
- Unselect it to allow automatic confirmation.
- Select this option to allow participants to register even if activity times overlap.
- Unselect it to prevent overlapping registrations.
4. Configure Capacity & Waiting List
- Enter the maximum number of participants allowed for the activity.
- Toggle the Waiting List option on or off.
- If enabled, participants can join a waiting list when the capacity limit is reached.
- Select or unselect the promotion email template that will be sent when a place becomes available for someone on the waiting list.
5. Save Your Changes
- Click the Save button.
- Your Activity Settings are updated.
