Validating the WiFi connection in Online Mode ensures that the Check-In App can synchronize data with the platform and operate seamlessly during event check-ins. Users can connect to the local WiFi network either by scanning a QR code or by manually selecting the network from a dropdown.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Scan a QR Code to Connect to the Local WiFi Network
- Open the Check-In App on your device.
- Navigate to the connectivity setup screen.
- Select the Scan WiFi QR Code option.
- Use the device camera to scan the WiFi QR code displayed at the event venue.

Once the QR code is scanned, the app automatically:
- Retrieves WiFi network details.
- Connects the device to the corresponding WiFi network.
- Displays an on-screen confirmation once the connection is successful.
2. Manually Select and Connect to the Local WiFi Network
- Open the Check-In App and go to the connectivity configuration screen.
- Locate the WiFi Network dropdown menu.
- Click the dropdown to view available WiFi networks.
- Select the event’s local WiFi network from the list.
- If required, enter the WiFi password when prompted.
- Confirm the connection to enable Online Mode for the Check-In App.
