Generating QR Code for a User to Access Check-In App
Overview
This article explains how administrators can generate QR codes for users to access the Check-In App. It covers how to use single-row and multi-row actions to generate QR codes efficiently for one or multiple users at a time.
Using this feature helps streamline user onboarding, improves access management, and ensures secure and quick entry into the Check-In App.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the User List
- On the General Dashboard, navigate to the User Management module.
- Select Users.
2. Select User
- Locate the required user in the list.
- Click the action icon (three dots) or select the checkbox for that user.
- Select multiple users by checking the boxes next to their names.
- Use the bulk selection option if available.
3. Generate QR Code for Check-In App Access
- From the action list, select Check-In App QR Code.
- Select an event from the Select Event pop-up.
- The system generates a unique QR code for the selected user and event.
- The generated QR code should be valid until one day after the selected event’s end date.
4. Copy or Share the QR Code
- Copy the generated QR code to your device or clipboard.
- Share the QR code with users via email, SMS, or other supported channels.
- Users can scan the QR code to access the Check-In App.
5. Verify QR Code Access
- Ask users to scan the QR code using the Check-In App.
- Confirm successful login and access.
- Regenerate the QR code if access issues occur.
Additional Notes
- Each QR code is unique and linked to a specific user account.
- QR codes may expire based on system security settings.
- Regenerating a QR code invalidates the previous one.
- Ensure users keep their QR codes secure to prevent unauthorized access.
