Managing printing of different badge sizes
Overview
Managing the printing of different badge sizes ensures that event staff can print Large, Regular, Name Card, and Sticker badges efficiently across both Kiosk mode and the Windows Check-In App. The system supports cutter-enabled printers, allowing each badge type to be printed accurately with correct trimming and alignment. Users can switch between badge formats seamlessly depending on the event’s requirements.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Print Large Badges
- Use Large badge templates for oversized or premium badge formats.
- Large badges can be printed in both Kiosk (localhost) mode and the Windows Check-In App.
- Ensure the printer is loaded with Large badge stock and set to cutter-enabled mode where required.
- The system auto-aligns print positioning for correct badge cutting.
2. Print Regular Badges
- Use Regular badge templates for standard event badges.
- Supported in both Kiosk mode and the Windows App.
- Confirm the printer is using the correct roll type for Regular badges.
- The cutter trims each badge precisely after printing.
3. Print Name Card Badges
- Print smaller Name Card badge formats used for compact IDs or business card–style layouts.
- Fully supported in Kiosk mode and the Windows App.
- Ensure the Name Card template and media size are selected before printing.
- Cutter-enabled printers automatically separate each Name Card badge.
4. Print Sticker Badges
- Use Sticker badge formats for quick-print adhesive labels.
- Compatible across Kiosk mode and the Windows App.
- Load the printer with sticker-compatible media.
- The cutter trims each printed sticker cleanly for easy application.
