Managing Sessions and Activities
Overview
The Check-In App allows event staff to manage participant attendance for sessions and activities. Users can manually check in participants, scan QR codes, validate scans, edit participant information, and activate kiosk mode. This article explains how to perform all available interactions within the Sessions and Activities section of the app.
Note: Once your session expires due to inactivity, you will be automatically redirected to the login page to sign in again.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the Sessions and Activities Menu
- Open the Check-In App.
- Navigate to the Sessions & Activities menu item.
- Select the session you want to manage.
2. Manually Check In a Participant
- In the selected session, click on any participant.
- Select Check In to manually mark the participant as present.
3. Edit Participant Information
- Click on a participant from the list.
- Edit fields such as first name, last name, or any custom participant fields.
- Save your changes.
4. Open the Scan QR Code Window
- Navigate to the Scan QR Code menu item.
- The scan window will appear.
5. Access the Camera Window
- Click the Scan QR Code button.
- The device camera will open for scanning.
6. View an Error Screen for Wrong QR Codes
- If an invalid or unregistered QR code is scanned, the system shows an error screen indicating the QR code is incorrect.
7. See a Validation Message for Already Scanned QR Codes
- If the QR code has already been scanned previously, a message appears confirming that the participant is already checked in.
8. View Participant Check-In Popup on Valid Scan
- When a valid QR code is scanned, a Participant Check-In popup appears displaying the participant’s information.
9. Successfully Check In a Participant from a Valid Scan
- Click Check In in the popup to confirm the participant’s attendance.
10. Reprint the Badge (When Enabled)
- If badge reprinting is activated, the Reprint Badge option becomes available during check-in.
- Select it to print the participant’s badge again.
11. Access and Start Kiosk Mode
- Click on the Kiosk Mode button from the menu.
- Select Start Kiosk Mode to launch the self-service check-in interface.
