Approval-Based Registrations

Overview

This feature adds an approval step to activity registrations. When participants select an activity, they are not registered automatically; instead, their registration is placed in a Pending Approval status. Backend users, such as event planners, review these requests and either approve or decline participation by updating the activity registration status.

Step-by-Step Configuration

• Open the detailed view of the activity.
• Navigate to the Activity Settings tab.
• Ensure the Registrations required setting is enabled.
• Enable the Approval required setting.
• Save the changes.
• When participants register for the activity, they are placed in the Pending Approval stage until reviewed.

Sample Scenario

For an exclusive VIP networking dinner, organizers can review each participant’s profile before granting access, ensuring the activity is limited to high-priority guests. This approach helps maintain control over participant selection while ensuring the attendee list aligns with the event’s objectives.

Result

• The approval feature is enabled for the activity in the backend.
• In the activity’s participant list, new registrations initially appear with an Awaiting approval status.
