Adding and Managing Activity Conditions
Overview
Activity Conditions allow organizers to control how many activities participants can register for within a defined rule set. By configuring activity conditions, you can enforce maximum selection limits, guide participant choices, and ensure fair access to activities.
This article explains how to access and manage activity conditions and how to apply them to activities.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access the Activity Condition Listing
- On the Event dashboard, go to Activity Management.
- Select the Activity Generic Settings submenu.
- Click the Conditions tab to view the list of existing activity conditions.
2. Add an Activity Condition
- Click the + Activity Condition button.
- The Add Activity Condition pop-up window appears.
3. Enter or Edit an Activity Condition Name
- Enter a descriptive name for the activity condition, or select an existing condition to edit its name, and save your changes.
4. Enter or Edit the Maximum Value for an Activity Condition
- Define the maximum number of activities a participant can select under this condition. The maximum value applies across all activities where the condition is assigned.
5. Delete an Activity Condition
- Go to More Options (⋮), for any activity condition.
- Select Delete.
Ensure the condition is no longer assigned to any activities before deleting it.
6. Assign Activity Conditions to Activities
- Open the Activity Detail View for an activity.
- Select the appropriate Activity Condition.
- Save your changes.
- Repeat these steps for other activities as needed.
Sample Scenario
An event offers three specialized workshops—Photography, Editing, and Design—but participants are allowed to register for only two. Organizers create a “2 activities max” condition and apply it to all three workshops.
When a participant registers for Photography and Editing, the Design workshop becomes unavailable for selection. This ensures that remaining slots are preserved for other participants while enforcing the registration limit.
Result
- Creating an activity condition.
- Applying the condition to multiple activities.
- Participants can now only select the defined number of activities assigned within the condition.
