Configuring Decline Event Workflow Automations
Overview
A Decline Automation Event Workflow allows you to manage what happens when a participant’s registration or request is declined. You can define whether a form is required, which email is sent, which page is displayed, and whether the participant can continue with the registration process.
This article explains how to add and configure a Decline Automation Event Workflow.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Add an Automation Event Workflow for a Decline Template
- Add a new Automation Event Workflow and assign it to a Decline Template.
- Enter or edit the Name of the workflow.
- Click on the Save button.
2. Select/Unselect “No form interaction required for this cancellation stage”
- Select or unselect the checkbox No form interaction required for this cancellation stage.
When selected, the participant will not need to complete a form during the decline stage.
3. Select Forms from the Forms Select Field
- Select a Form from the Forms dropdown list (if required for the decline stage).
This allows you to capture additional information during the decline process.
4. Select Thank You Page from the Thank You Page Select Field
- Select the Thank You Page that participants see after the decline process is completed.
5. Select Decline Email from the Decline Email Select Field
- Select the Decline Email template that will automatically be sent to participants when their registration is declined.
6. Select Continue Registration from the Continue Registration Select Field
- Select the Continue Registration workflow option to define whether and how a participant may proceed with registration after being declined.
7. Enter or Edit Decline Stage Name
- Enter or edit the Decline Stage Name to clearly identify this stage in the workflow.
8. Enter or Edit Declined with Reason
- Enter or edit the Declined with Reason field to define the stage where a reason for decline is recorded or communicated.
9. Click on the Save Button
- Click the Save button to apply and activate the configured Decline Automation Event Workflow.
