Configuring Stage Action Event Workflow Automation
Overview
A Stage Action Automation Event Workflow allows you to define what happens when a participant moves into a specific stage within an event workflow. You can configure email campaigns, approval notification emails, counting rules, and the next workflow that should run based on the stage outcome. This helps streamline stage-based processing and ensures consistent actions are triggered automatically.

Step-by-Step Approach
1. Add an Automation Workflow for a Stage Action Template
- Add a new Automation Event Workflow and assign it to a Stage Action Template.
- Enter or edit the Name of the workflow.
- Click Save to create the workflow.
2. Enter or Edit Stage Name
- Enter or update the Stage Name to identify the stage within the workflow.
3. Select Email Campaign to Be Sent When Stage Is Selected
- Open the Email campaign to be sent when stage is selected field.
- Select the campaign that should automatically be sent when a participant enters this stage.
4. Select Approval Email – Field 1
- Open the Approval Email – Field 1 select field.
- Select the email template to be used for the first approval notification.
5. Select Approval Email – Field 2
- Open the Approval Email – Field 2 select field.
- Select the second approval email template if required.
6. Select Count As
- Open the Count As select field.
- Select how this stage should be counted in your event reporting or capacity tracking.
7. Select Next Workflow
- Open the Next Workflow select field.
- Select the workflow that should run when the stage action is successfully completed.
8. Select Denied Workflow
- Open the Denied Workflow select field.
- Select the workflow that should run when the stage action is denied or rejected.
9. Select or Unselect “Disable Manual Stage Change”
- Select this option to prevent users from manually changing the participant’s stage.
- Unselect it to allow manual stage updates.
10. Click Save
- Click the Save button to apply and activate the Stage Action Automation Event Workflow.
