Configuring and Managing Ticket Type Multi-Registration Workflow
Overview
The Ticket Type option within the Multi-Registration Workflow allows event planners to define how registrations are categorized and managed. When set to Ticket, each participant (main and sub-participants) is associated with a specific ticket type, enabling better control over allocation, validation, and event access.
This configuration is essential for events that require structured ticketing, such as paid events, tiered access, or capacity-controlled registrations.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Access Multi-Registration Settings
- Navigate to the Workflow Editor from your event dashboard
- Drag and drop the Multi-Registration block onto the workflow canvas
- Connect it with preceding and subsequent workflow steps
2. Customize and Configure Parameters
- Open the settings panel of the Multi-Registration block
- Configure all available parameters based on your event requirements
This is the core configuration area where you define how the workflow behaves, including participant handling, limits, and communication.
3. Select Registration Forms
- Choose a form from the Forms select field
The selected form will be used to capture details of the primary participant. Ensure the form includes all necessary fields required for the main registrant.
4. Select Thank You Page
- Choose a page from the Thank You Page select field
After completing registration, users are redirected to this page. It can include confirmation details, next steps, or event-related information.
5. Select Multi Registration Type as Ticket
- Locate the Multi registration type dropdown
- Select Ticket
Choosing Ticket ensures that each participant is linked to a ticket category, allowing better tracking and management of registrations.
6. Configure Forms and Confirmation Page
- Select a form from the Forms dropdown (e.g., Registration)
- Choose a confirmation page from the Thank you page dropdown (e.g., Registration confirmed)
These define how participant data is collected and what users see after completing registration.
7. Configure Assignment Settings
- Require Assigning the Main Participant: Controls whether every sub-participant must be linked to the primary participant
- Allow unassigned ticket: Enables flexibility in ticket assignment
- Disable Updating submitted sub-participants: When enabled, users cannot edit or modify sub-participant details after submission
8. Configure Sub-Participant Form Fields
- Select fields from the Sub-participant form fields dropdown
- Example: First Name, Last Name, Email
Defines what information is collected for each additional participant.
9. Configure Email Communications
- Select:
- Main participant’s confirmation email
- Sub-participant’s confirmation email
- Sub-participant’s cancellation email
Ensures all participants receive relevant communication based on their registration status.
10. Define Registration Stages
- Enter the following stage names:
- Multi Registration Pending Stage Name
- Multi Registration Completed Stage Name
- Registration Completed Stage Name
- Registration Canceled Stage Name
These stages help track the lifecycle of both the group registration and individual participant statuses, improving reporting and operational visibility.
11. Save Configuration
- Click Save to apply changes
- Use Cancel if you want to discard updates
Result
- Ticket-based multi-registration is successfully configured
- Each participant is linked to a ticket type
- Communication and participant data are managed efficiently
