Adding and Configuring Header for an Email Template
Overview
The Email Builder allows users to add and configure a header component within an email campaign. This includes customizing header properties such as ID, title, image, and link settings. Users can also reposition or remove the header as needed. This article explains how to configure the email header and validate its appearance in the final email content.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Add Email Header
- On the Event Dashboard, go to the Content module..
- Click on Email Campaigns.
- Select an existing campaign or create a new one.
- Go to Design tab, click Edit Template button
- Locate the Email Header component from the available elements.
- Drag and drop the Email Footer into the desired section of the email layout.
2. Configure Header Properties

a. Enter or Edit ID
- Locate the Id field.
- Enter or update a unique identifier for the header.

b. Enter or Edit Title
- Find the Title field.
- Enter or modify the header title as needed.
3. Select Section Version Type
- Locate the Section Version Type dropdown field.
- Select the appropriate version type from the list.
This defines the layout or structure variation of the header.
4. Upload Header Image
- Locate the image placeholder within the header component.
- Upload an image from your local system.
5. Configure Image Settings

a. Enter or Edit Alt Text
- Find the Alt field.
- Enter descriptive text for the image.

b. Enter or Edit Image URL
- Locate the URL field.
- Enter or update the link associated with the image.

c. Select Target
- Locate the Target dropdown field.
- Choose how the link should open (e.g., same tab or new tab).
6. Reposition the Email Header
- Drag the Email Header component to move it within the layout.
- Place it in the desired position in the email structure.
7. Remove the Email Header
- Select the Email Header component.
- Click on the Remove/Delete option.
8. Validate as a Participant
- Preview or send a test email.

Verify that:
- The header is displayed correctly
- The image loads successfully
- The title and content appear as configured
- The image link redirects correctly based on the selected target
