The Email Builder provides a set of Action Controls that help users efficiently design, manage, and preview email templates. These controls allow users to switch between device views, manage changes (undo/redo), toggle between visual and HTML editors, control visibility settings, manage languages, and publish or unpublish email templates. Using these features ensures better flexibility, accuracy, and optimization of email content before sending it to participants.
Step-by-Step Approach:
1. Select Device View
- On the Event Dashboard, go to the Content module.
- Click on Email Campaigns.
- Select an existing campaign or create a new one.
- Go to the Design tab and click the Edit Template button.
- Use the available view options to preview the email layout:
- Desktop View
- Tablet View
- Mobile View
- This helps ensure responsiveness across different devices.
2. Undo and Redo Changes
- Click Undo to revert the most recent unsaved changes.
- Click Redo to reapply changes that were undone.
- These options help manage edits efficiently during template design.
3. View Components
- Click on View Components to open the list of available components.
- Browse and select components to add them to the email layout.
4. Switch Between Editors
- Toggle between:
- Visual Editor for drag-and-drop design.
- HTML Code Editor for advanced customization.
- This allows flexibility based on user preference and technical expertise.
5. Enable Full Screen Mode
- Click on the Full Screen option to expand the Email Builder workspace.
- This provides a larger working area for better focus and editing.
6. Disable Image Appearance
- Use the option to disable image visibility within the editor.
- This helps review text-only content or troubleshoot layout issues.
7. Select Language
- Choose a language from the Language dropdown field.
- This allows you to manage and edit email templates for different languages.
8. Publish Email Template
- Click on Publish to make the email template live for the selected language.
- Ensure all changes are reviewed before publishing.
9. Add a New Field
- Use the Add Field option to insert new fields into the email template.
- Configure the field as required within the layout.
10. Select Existing Email Campaign
- Use the Email Campaign dropdown field to switch between existing campaigns.
- This allows you to edit or manage different campaign templates.
11. Unpublish Email Template
- Click on the Unpublish button from the Design tab.
- This removes the email template from the published state for the selected language.
