The Footer Social Media component in the Email Builder allows users to add social media icons and links to the footer section of an email campaign. This helps enhance brand visibility and enables recipients to easily connect with your organization across different platforms. The component is fully customizable, allowing users to configure identifiers, titles, image sets, alignment, and individual image properties. This article explains how to add, configure, and manage the Footer Social Media component, along with how participants can validate the final email content.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Add the Footer Social Media Component
- On the Event Dashboard, go to the Content module.
- Click on Email Campaigns.
- Select an existing campaign or create a new one.
- Go to the Design tab and click the Edit Template button.
- Locate the Footer Social Media component from the available elements.
- Drag and drop the Footer Social Media into the desired section of the email layout.
2. Configure Footer Social Media Settings
- Click on the Footer Social Media component to open its settings panel.
- Enter or edit the following:
- ID: Assign a unique identifier.
- Title: Provide a meaningful title.
- Section Version Type: Select the appropriate version type from the dropdown.
- Image Set: Choose a predefined image set from the dropdown.
- Alignment: Select alignment using the HTML TD Alignment option.
- For each Image/Text element:
- Enter or edit the ID.
- Enter or edit the Title.
Configure Image/Text within Footer Social Media
- For each image in the Footer Social Media component:
- Enter or edit the Alt text for accessibility.
- Enter or edit the URL (with or without https).
- Select the Target (e.g., same tab or new tab) from the dropdown.
- Enter the Height for the image.
- Enter the Width for the image.

3. Manage Footer Social Media Layout
- Reposition the component by dragging it to the desired location within the email layout.
- Remove the Footer Social Media component if it is no longer needed using the delete option.
4. Participant Validation
- Participants can review the email content where the Footer Social Media component is included.

- Social media icons are displayed correctly.
- Links redirect to the correct URLs.
- Alt text is properly defined for accessibility.
- Alignment and spacing appear as intended.
